God Time

God Time for the Week of March 15
I will live for

TODAY’S TEXT MESSAGE:
Read Genesis 25 with your family.

TALK ABOUT IT:
What was a birthright?
Why do you think Esau would trade his birthright for a bowl of stew?
Was Esau’s decision a wise one?

Because Esau was focused on his immediate need rather than his future, he made a big mistake. Do we ever do the same thing?

People often choose to do things now because they seem like fun now rather than considering how they will affect us in the future.

THINK ON THESE THINGS:
Through the week, as a family think about these things:
What kinds of decisions do we make now that could be affecting our future in a good way or bad way?
What is the hardest thing about thinking about the future when make decisions in the present?
God wants us to live for Him, our future in Heaven, and for others not just ourselves and the moment.

HIDE IT IN YOUR HEART:
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
